RYAN DAY'S dramatic comeback win in the Masters first round was Superman-like, according to Ding Junhui.

The Chinese star surged into an early lead taking the opening three frames in quick succession.
Day barely got a glimpse of the table and could only muster a combined 18 points.

But frame four sparked an incredible comeback from the Wales potter who went on to take five frames on the bounce.
Ding pulled one back but it only temporarily halted Day's progression into the last eight at Alexandra Palace.

Day's performance left Ding stunned but reserved praise for the Welshman's heroics on the baize.
"He didn't play well at the start but he came back like Superman - he didn't miss anything," Ding said.
"He just went for everything and he potted it.

"I got chances but I didn't take it. Little things went wrong."
He added: "I haven't quite started the season yet, I had six months away from snooker so it's just a start.
"I just keep working hard, doing as much as I can and I think I can still win tournaments."
