The O2 in London was packed for the NBA game
Strong scoring displays from Kyrie Irving and Jaylen Brown in the second quarter helped the Celtics bring the deficit back to single digits at the half.
Ben Simmons was enjoying a strong evening and rose to the occasion to try and half Celtics' comeback with a strong slam before flexing his muscle in the face of Irving.
However Boston couldn't be stopped and they eventually took the lead in the third courtesy of a Daniel Thies dunk.
Despite being billed as a home game for the 76ers it was clear most of the support was for Boston and they soon raised the noise levels.
