VanZant will fight Michelle Waterson as the headline fight of this weekend's 'UFC on Fox' in Sacramento.
Ronda Rousey meanwhile is busy preparing to win back her UFC bantamweight title on December 30 against Amanda Nunes.
But VanZant is already planning her next move, with a move up from strawweight a possibility if the opportunity of a fight against Rousey presented itself.

"Hey, if she wants to meet me at 125. I’d have to go up," VanZant told TMZ.
"I would consider going up to 125.
"It’s not that big of a weight gain for me.
Ronda Rousey is desperate to win back her UFC title
"We’ll see. We’ll see if we meet at 125.”
The pair clashed after VanZant apparently congratulated Miesha Tate on beating Rousey.
The UFC superstar had gone undefeated throughout her 12-fight career until Tate knocked her out in November 2015.
And back in May Tate revealed that VanZant had told her about Rousey's foul-mouthed rant at a photoshoot.
"F*** you, you fair-weather b****! How dare you cross me?" Rousey is supposed to have told VanZant.
"You congratulated Holly Holm for beating me, so f*** you, you f***ing fair-weather 115-pound."
