Ben Flower has signed a new four-year deal to keep him at Wigan
The Warriors fought off competition from both Super League and the NRL to retain the services of the 28-year-old prop, whose current deal was due to expire this year.
Wigan chairman Ian Lenagan said: "We have been well aware of significant interest from many high-profile clubs, both in Super League and the National Rugby League competitions.
"Our rugby director Kris Radlinski and I have been in negotiations with Ben's representatives for some time now and are happy that the conclusion of those negotiations have seen Ben commit his future to the Wigan club."
