Snooker: Milkman’s delivery as Robertson exits the Crucible
ROB MILKINS showed the bottle to kick world No2 Neil Robertson out of the Betfair World Championships at the Crucible in Sheffield yesterday.
Milkins, world No18 and known as “the Milkman”, beat Australian former world champion Robertson 10-8 and is a man reborn after a drink, gambling and eviction nightmare saw him “in the gutter” just six years ago.
He said: “It is definitely the biggest win of my life. The difference is incredible in my life now, with two lovely kids, a great missus, good friends and a top manager.
“A few years back I was in a flat, drinking and gambling. I got evicted, I was £20-30,000 in debt and going down the gutter.”
Robertson said: “Rob played fantastically well. He is known as a potter from early in his career when he was a bit of a lunatic, but has surprised me with his safety.”
