Team GB star breaks down in tears after being disqualified from Olympics judo event
Emma Reid had to be consoled by a BBC interviewer after her Olympics disqualification.
Team GB's judo star Emma Reid could not help but break down and cry after being disqualified in her Olympics first-round -78kg match with South Korea's Yoon Hyun-ji.
Reid's Olympic dream ended after just one match after picking up three penalties and in conversation with the BBC, she could not hide her disappointment at being DQ'd.
She clutched her face and wiped away tears as the Beeb reporter reminded her: "You're an Olympian, no one can take that away from you."

"I'll reflect on the competition... I'm just upset I couldn't make a better day of it," a visibly emotional Reid said. "But rest and decompress from everything.
"It's been a tough three years, four years - my life really. I'm just proud of myself for getting to this point. I'm just going to rest up and go again."
It has been an underwhelming Olympic campaign for Team GB's judo stars, with Reid giving her view on why they "underperformed" in Paris, her defeat signalling the end of their competition at the Games following just one win from the five-strong squad.
"I think we had a really good preparation," she replied. "We were at home, we went away for a camp. I just think it's tough - especially when a few of us, it's our first Games.
"We're not seeded so you can get anyone first fight. I've beaten her (Yoon) before so it's frustrating that I could have got to the next round but I think we all felt good going into it. Sometimes it doesn't happen on the day."
Reid, 29, is a world championship bronze medalist but her debut Olympics did not go as planned as she conceded two penalties in the first two minutes, the first for non-combativity and the second for a false attack.
The curtain was then drawn on her time competing in Paris when a third and final penalty was called during the golden score period, with Reid understandably upset at the result having battled in a close contest with Yoon.
