Everything to know on Olympic track cycling: Dates, start times, schedule for Paris 2024
Track cycling is one of the most popular Olympic events and the 2024 edition in Paris promises to be no different as Team GB go in search of more medals.
Track cycling is once again set to be a highlight of the Olympics at Paris 2024. One of the longest-standing Olympic disciplines, it's been a fixture at every modern Games, except for Stockholm in 1912, and now boasts six events for both men and women.
Half of these - the sprint, team sprint and keirin - are sprint contests featuring the world's fastest cyclists. The remaining three - team pursuit, omnium and madison - are endurance events, with the omnium being the ultimate challenge as it consists of four different races.
All will take place in a 250m bowl-shaped arena known as a velodrome, a venue that has proven particularly successful for Team GB over the years. Only athletics has yielded more medals than cycling's total of 100, 38 of which have been gold.
