Rob Cross shows true colours after Luke Littler nails nine-darter against him in Belgium
Rob Cross reacted to Luke Littler's sensational nine-darter against him in the Belgian Darts Open final.
Darts star Rob Cross showed a touch of class as he witnessed Luke Littler make an incredible nine-darter against him on the teenager's way to victory in the Belgian Open on Sunday. The 17-year-old on his Euro Tour debut made headlines once again with the perfect leg on his way to lifting the title with a 8-7 victory.
Cross could feel harshly treated after averaging a whopping 108 against Littler but still succumbing to darts' biggest talent, while being forced to stand by while his conqueror celebrated a third nine-darter of his season.
In the 11th leg, as the pair were tied at 5-5, Littler threw 177 and then a maximum before checking out on 144 as the Belgian crowd erupted as they witnessed history in the making.
Littler ran across the entire stage as he soaked in the jubilation, as Cross then classily joined in as he could be seen clapping and cheering for his opponent.

They then shared a warm embrace that reflects well on Cross, as some of his and Littler's rivals may have been peeved that their opponent had just taken a crucial lead and swung the momentum.
Cross then later handed the Belgian Open trophy to Littler and joked with him on stage as the pair have clearly grown close since the teenager burst onto the scene with a run to the final at the World Championship.

Speaking to broadcaster Viaplay, Cross similarly showed why he is viewed as one of the most respected players on the tour as he spoke glowingly about Littler shortly after defeat.
"This young man (Littler) has got such a bright future in front of him," he said. "The nine-darter was impeccable. This boy is special."
Graceful in defeat, Cross will be disappointed not to have claimed the title himself but should he continue performing at this current level then those accolades will surely follow.
