LeBron James got some heat from NBA fans for an outburst he made towards the end of the national anthem at the Los Angeles Lakers vs LA Clippers game.
The national anthem is a regular occurrence at sporting events in America, with players often lined up in solidarity as the singer takes centre stage.
But James was clearly too pumped up for the start of Tuesday evening opening night's game to stand for the very end of the anthem.
The four-time MVP was spotted on camera walking behind his team-mates before shouting at the top of his lungs: "Let's go!"
And fans on social media were less than impressed with James' actions.
One person tweeted: "Couldn’t have waited until after the national anthem ended......."
Another wrote: "Kinda feel bad for the woman singing also—gotta be tough to focus on singing when a bro is using his 300 voice to scream LETS GOOOOOOO."
A third posted: "The national anthem wasn’t over yet. So disrespectful."
James has also taken some slack from NBA fans who were angered by the fact he refused to stand by Daryl Morey's tweet in supporting the Hong Kong protests.
And those same NBA fans saw his actions during the national anthem as an opportunity to take another shot at him.
One person wrote: "Xi Jinping’s gonna be mad."
Another quipped: "Played the wrong anthem."
