NBA news: Klay Thompson to Lakers development, LeBron James slammed, shock deal eyed
NBA news - LeBron James, Klay Thompson and Khris Middleton are involved in the latest rumours and gossip coming out of the league.
Klay Thompson to Lakers claim
Klay Thompson would be the perfect addition alongside LeBron James, Fox Sports' Nick Wright reckons.
"All Klay needs to be is on a good team in a state where it's legal," Wright said on The Crossover NBA Show.
"He's going to be one of the happiest guys in the league.
"That's why I don't buy, even though from a basketball-fit perspective, I think Klay may be the single best guy in the league to pair with LeBron.
I just think he was showing them up, a team he won two championships with
"Best perimeter player I should say.
"From a life fit, the only reason I would think Klay would leave would be if he wanted to see how high up the mountain can we get if I'm our best player.
"You wouldn't go to the one place in Los Angeles where you're guaranteed not to be the best player."
Golden State Warriors star Thompson can become a free agent in 2019.
LeBron James slammed
LeBron James was wrong to shoot a late three pointer to get 51 points against the Miami Heat last week, Reggie Miller claims.
"I love LeBron but I didn't like that," Miller said on the Dan Patrick Show.
"You don't mess with the basketball gods.
"LeBron of all people should know that because I think Walton wanted to pull him from that game and he told Luke 'I'm going for 50.
"LeBron, on that team and especially with the Lakers this year, will have plenty of opportunities to go for 50-plus.
"I just don't like messing with the basketball gods to do that because they come back to bite you at some point in time.
"I just think he was showing them up, a team he won two championships with.
"I personally didn't like it."

Shock Lakers move
The Los Angeles Lakers are interested in signing Milwaukee Bucks star Khris Middleton next summer, SportingNews.com’s Sean Deveney claims.
The Lakers are looking to sign a second star next summer to team up alongside LeBron James.
And SportingNews claims the Lakers and the Clippers are eyeing Middleton, who can become a free agent next summer.
Deveney claims that the in-form Middleton could well command a four-year $140million contract if he leaves Milwaukee - as opposed to the five-year $190m deal he will get for staying with the Bucks.
