Green’s suspension will 'cause problems' for Warriors says pundit
Golden State Warriors star Durant can become a free agent next summer.
The 30-year-old has been linked with the New York Knicks, the Brooklyn Nets, the Los Angeles Lakers and the Clippers.
Durant was also involved in a heated bust-up with team-mate Draymond Green this week during Golden State’s overtime loss against the Clippers.
Green was handed a one-game suspension for calling Durant a b**** during the spat.
My son has been in the NBA now for 11 years, so he's wise enough to make the decision that's best for him
However, Durant appeared to confirm his intention to leave the Warriors next summer in the argument, mouthing: “This is why I’m out.”
And Durant’s mother Wanda has left Lakers fans dreaming the two-time NBA champion will be teaming up with James in LA.
When asked about Durant heading to the Lakers or the Knicks, Wanda told TMZ: “It’s that time of year again?
“My son has been in the NBA now for 11 years, so he's wise enough to make the decision that's best for him.
“I trust that."
Wanda was then asked about Kevin’s relationship with Lakers superstar James.
“LeBron’s one of my NBA sweethearts, yes,” she added.
Wanda then opened up on Lakers’ president of basketball operations, Johnson, saying: “I love Magic and Cookie [Johnson’s wife]. I think they are awesome people.”
James quit the Cleveland Cavaliers in the summer in favour of a move to the Lakers.
The 33-year-old penned a four-year contract in LA.
The Lakers have a max cap space slot available next summer, meaning Johnson can move for Durant if he becomes a free agent.
James and the Lakers are back in action tonight against the Portland Trail Blazers.
