The four-time MVP was making his competitive debut for the Lakers against the Portland Trail Blazers last night.
And just three minutes into the first quarter, James stole in front of Al-Farouq Aminu to intercept, storm down the court on the breakaway and throw it down for his first points in the famous purple and gold.
He followed that up with another thunderous dunk just moments later in response to Damien Lilliard's own rim-rocker.
James ended the night with 26 points off of nine-for-16 shooting, adding 12 rebounds, six assists and a single steal though the Lakers lost 128-119.
James joined the Lakers from the Cleveland Cavaliers in the summer.
The Lakers have missed out on the playoffs in all of the last five seasons, with James looking to transform the illustrious franchise's fortunes.
James has reached the four previous NBA Finals with the Cavs, facing the Golden State Warriors each year and losing three times - including a 4-0 sweep earlier this year.
Yet expectations are high for James' time in southern California, even though they have been widely doubted this year with the three-time champion currently the only All-Star on the Lakers roster.
And James' two quick dunks sent viewers crazy on social media.
Shea Serrano said: "LEBRON SOMEHOW ALWAYS MANAGES TO EXCEED THE HYPE"
Fox Sports broadcaster Skip Bayless meanwhile said: "As I've been saying on Undisputed, LeBron's Lakers will be the NBA's most fun team to watch. Showtime Too. Vintage '80s PUSH IT. Some Salt, lots of Pepa."
Elsewhere, Nate Duncan wrote: "I really hope LeBron stays committed to run this hard all year. It's breathtaking."
James is the biggest name in the NBA and is widely viewed as the best player in world basketball.
Speaking ahead of his debut, the 33-year-old said: "I love what we have done so far, I love our potential, but only time will tell.
"And this is the first step of a long journey for us."
If his first two buckets are anything to go by, the Lakers are on in for one hell of a ride.
