Steph Curry quizzes Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers about retirement plans
Steph Curry, 35, has dropped a retirement hint after seeking advice from NFL legends Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers

Golden State Warriors and NBA superstar Steph Curry quizzed NFL quarterback legends Tom Brady, 45, and Aaron Rodgers, 39, about retirement plans with the point guard targeting playing into his 40s. Curry's fellow NBA stars LeBron James and Chris Paul are both over 35 and still playing at an elite level, and the Warriors man says he’s got “a lot left” to give the sport.
Instead of seeking advice from dad Dell, who played in the NBA until he was 37, the 35-year-old four-time NBA champion has sought advice from two iconic NFL quarterbacks. The last three years of his dad’s career were plagued with back spasm problems.
“How I feel right now is not how I thought I’d feel at 35,” Curry told Andscape earlier this month after the victory over the Bucks. “That number sounds crazy, but in my head, I feel like I got a lot left.
“I talked to Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers and other guys who have been on the other side of the halfway point. I know quarterbacking is different, but you can check yourself [mentally] into not fast-forwarding too far.

“They really did a good job of disciplining themselves for what is happening in real time. They’re 40 feeling like they can still play. I’m trying to stay in that mode. Thirty-five is a big milestone, but the next one is 40. The way I feel right now, who knows?”
Seven-time Super Bowl champion Brady retired for the second time earlier this year in an emotional farewell, while Rodgers is weighing up retirement, joining the New York Jets or returning to the Green Bay Packers for a 19th season.

Curry and the Warriors, meanwhile, have endured a confusing campaign that has been punctuated by injuries, poor form and disharmony. The defending champs currently sit fifth in the Western Conference standings and are in dire need of some consistency.
The Warriors have largely struggled away from their San Francisco home court. The outfit have a dismal 7-26 record on the road this term and they’ll need the 2022 NBA Finals MVP at his absolute best to replicate last season’s feat.
