Walsh was racing in the RSA Insurance Novices' Chase aboard Al Boum Photo when he fell at the penultimate fence.
While the horse recovered quickly and returned to his feet, Walsh stayed on the ground before being attended to by medics.
Green screens were erected around the jocky to provide privacy as he was treated.
He was eventually helped up and left the track without the need of an ambulance.

However, the Irish jockey has since been taken to hospital for tests and it’s understood he has injured the same leg he broke last year during a race at Punchestown.
Trainer Willie Mullins told BBC Radio 5 live: "It looks as if it's the same injury as before.
“It's right on the same point, but until we get the X-rays we can't be sure.
“It's hugely disappointing for Ruby and everyone. That's sport.

“We have to pick up and move on. He's got an injury and I'm hoping he'll recover from it."
The British Horseracing Authority’s stewarding team tweeted: “Following examination by doctors, Ruby Walsh has been stood down for the rest of the day.
“He would need to pass a further medical examination by Doctors before taking any further rides at the Festival.”
