Chelsea transfer news: Eden Hazard advice given to Blues star by Alvaro Morata
ALVARO MORATA reckons Callum Hudson-Odoi can shine for Chelsea if he shadows Eden Hazard.
Hudson-Odoi's incredible skills against Arsenal’s Bellerin
Hudson-Odoi has shown glimpses of what he can produce during Chelsea’s pre-season tour.
Although the Blues lost to Arsenal in Dublin earlier this week on a penalty shoot-out in the International Champions Cup, Hudson-Odoi impressed playing in a wider role.
Chelsea, who are currently preparing for their Community Shield clash on Sunday (3pm), have only brought in two players so far this summer - Jorginho and Rob Green.
However, with players coming through the academy, the future looks bright at Stamford Bridge.
And Morata reckons Hudson-Odoi can have a real impact if he follows Hazard’s lead.
As a player and a man — because Eden is a good example
“As a player and a man — because Eden is a good example,” Morata told the Daily Mirror.
“Callum is lucky with Eden, with Willian and all the strikers because they are good people and if he listens and watches Willian, he can be the best for the future.”
Morata insists the teenager is unique, adding: “I have never seen a player like him.
“Ethan Ampadu and him, when you see them playing, it is like they are 25 and 26 years old - and they are 17! They work so hard.”
Meanwhile, Maurizio Sarri suggested earlier this week Hudson-Odoi will be in his first-team plans next season.
“He will be a very, very strong player,” he said.
“Will he be in the first team squad? I think so. He will be staying with us for all the season.”
