Leeds United have sold Vieira to Sampdoria for £6.7m.
The deal, brokered this week, was finally confirmed by the Serie A side today.
Sampdoria’s new signing comes in at roughly 16 times cheaper than Juventus’ £105m capture of Ronaldo.
And the Italian minnows made light of the new deal in their announcement of Vieira today.
Sampdoria posted on Twitter their branding for the signing, which features a silhouette of Vieira in front of his name ‘RONALDO’ in block which letters.

Then, buried below the billboard-style sign is ‘VIEIRA’ - just in case Sampdoria fans get ahead of themselves.
Vieira, 20, played 32 games for Leeds United last season as their promotion push fizzled into nothing.
His sale has helped cover for new signings, with the Championship club - who are desperate to return to the top flight - spending an estimated £7m on Patrick Bamford.

As for Ronaldo, his move to Juventus from Real Madrid was partly funded by car company FIAT - a deal that has infuriated workers on the factory floor.
Juve not only paid £105m for the 33-year-old but also agreed to a four-year contract worth £106m.
Juve yesterday confirmed the return to Leonardo Bonucci from AC Milan, with Gonzalo Higuain and Mattia Caldara heading to the San Siro.
