Man Utd transfer news: Jose Mourinho close to GIVING UP on new signings
JOSE MOURINHO appears close to ending his hopes of signing any more new players for Manchester United this summer.
Mourinho: We haven't got enough new players for new season
Manchester United have signed three players so far - Diogo Dalot, Fred and Lee Grant - as they labour to get deals over the line.
Express Sport understands they are interested in landing Leicester’s Harry Maguire, Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale and Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowksi.
Willian, who played under Mourinho at Chelsea, is another target.
But the manager has hinted that his transfer efforts are not going to plan after Sunday's 0-0 friendly draw with San Jose.
"One thing is what I want and another thing is what is going to happen," he said.

Mourinho is notorious for being guarded over his transfer discussions, while dropping hints at how well his plans are going behind the scenes.
It is claimed he is due for showdown talks with Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward this week to outline how proceedings are getting along.
Chelsea are understood to be considering Barcelona’s £65m offer for Willian, while both Bale and Lewandowski appear set to remain at their respective clubs.
As for Mourinho, he was left to reflect on what he described as a “strange pre-season” after the draw in the USA.
"How many of these players are going to play the majority of the games in the Premier League? Not one hand [can you count] of them. It's a bit strange for me.
"Pre-season, you try to be motivated and motivate the people around you but is not easy.
“I did some pre-season with some players but to have 10 players away is very strange, so the motivation is to try to train the best we can, to give the players minutes, to give young players an opportunity to develop and that's it."
