Eden Hazard: Chelsea star told to make one big change when he joins Real Madrid
CHELSEA star Eden Hazard will not be able to afford to “pick and choose” when he plays if he completes a move to Real Madrid.
Hazard: Chelsea star fails to confirm where he'll sign next
That is the verdict of ESPN FC pundit and former Arsenal midfielder Stewart Robson.
Eden Hazard sensationally revealed on Saturday he will be reviewing his club future after Belgium’s participation at the World Cup ended.
The Belgian has been linked with a move to Real Madrid and he hinted that is the club he wants to move to.
“After six wonderful years at Chelsea it might be time to discover something different,” Hazard said.
If he goes to Real Madrid, you can’t go out on the field with the wrong attitude
"Certainly after this World Cup. I can decide if I want to stay or go, but Chelsea will make the final decision - if they want to let me go.
"You know my preferred destination.”
Robson believes Real Madrid would be a good move for Hazard but has warned him he must perform every week.
“Yes he does fit in,” Robson said.
“I think it would be a good move for him because there’s been times at Chelsea, yes he’s had six good seasons, but I’d say he’s only had four and a half.
“There’s been times where he has picked and chosen when he wants to play.
“There’s been question marks with previous managers, there’s been question marks with Antonio Conte that he didn’t always go out on the field with the right attitude.
“If he goes to Real Madrid, you can’t go out on the field with the wrong attitude.
“So he will have to play at his best week in, week out to win over the fans.”
