Kieran Trippier: Who does Kieran Trippier play for?
ENGLAND and Croatia are 1-1 in the World Cup semi-final with a shock goal by Kieran Trippier in the first five minutes. So who does he play for?
World Cup: England fans celebrate Trippier's free kick goal
Trippier made history by ending a 12-year run without England scoring a free-kick goal at a World Cup.
The Luzhniki Stadium erupted into chaos as the defender curled the ball into the top corner.
This makes him the third England player to score in a World Cup semi-final after Bobby Charlton's brace in 1966 and Gary Lineker's solo goal at Italia 1990.
The last player to score a free-kick was David Beckham against Ecuador in the Round of 16 in 2006 in Germany.
Who does he play for?
Kieran Trippier, 27, plays for Tottenham Hotspur.
He started his career in the youth system at Manchester City.
He signed for Premier League club Tottenham for a reported £3.5 million
In June 2017, he signed a new five-year contract, committing to the club until 2022.
Trippier was first called up by England at under-18 level in November 2007 for an international friendly against Ghana at the Priestfield Stadium, Gillingham.
In June 2016, Trippier married his childhood sweetheart Charlotte in Cyprus.
The couple have one child, a son named Jacob, who is 18 months old.
Charlotte and Jacob were seen watching Trippier play for England in the 2018 World Cup qualifier match against Belgium.
Trippier's strike this evening was the 12th goal scored by the Three Lions so far.
If they progress, they will take on France in the final at 4pm on Saturday.
