Mamic is the former executive director of Dinamo Zagreb and was sentenced to six-and-a-half years in prison for siphoning millions of euros in transfer fees during his reign.
He was previously shot and wounded by two masked people on a visit to his father’s grave in August last year.
Prosecutors have accused Modric of falsely saying he signed a Zagreb contract back in July 2004 that set out of the terms for future transfer fees.
Prosecutors instead believe the veteran signed the agreement, that entitled him to half of any future fee, was signed in 2008.
