CHELSEA star N’Golo Kante has allowed Paul Pogba to flourish for France at this summer’s World Cup, claims Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand.

Pogba and Kante have helped France reach the semi-final of the tournament in Russia.
And ahead of tonight’s last-four clash, Ferdinand, working as a pundit for BBC, explained how the Chelsea man has had a positive impact on Pogba.
“He’s kind of gone under the radar a little bit,” Ferdinand said of Pogba.
“He hasn’t had any mad haircuts so that’s probably a good thing as well.

“But I think what he’s done is that Kante’s freed him up, that’s one thing I think.

Ferdinand says he has been pleased with the attacking positions and runs of Manchester United star Pogba during the tournament so far.
And he says it is difficult for an opponent to deal with him.

“What I’ve been impressed with more than anything with Paul Pogba’s game in this tournament is he’s been very efficient, he’s always trying to play the ball forward,” he added.
“His first instinct when he gets in these areas is to pass the ball forward and he’s running on as well.
“That’s why it’s difficult for a midfielder, an opposing midfielder doesn’t want people to run beyond them.”
