Croatia team news: Predicted Croatia line up vs Iceland at World Cup – Argentina furious
CROATIA are reportedly set to make wholesale changes to their starting XI against Iceland, incensing Group D rivals Argentina in the process.
Croatia have already qualified for the knockout stages after impressive performances against Nigeria and Argentina.
Zlatko Dalic’s side are top of Group D and have the luxury of resting players ahead of the next round.
Ivan Rakitic, Mario Mandzukic, Ante Rabic and Sime Vrsaljko are all likely to sit out tonight’s match against Iceland to avoid the risk of suspension, with the quartet currently on one yellow card each.
Meanwhile, star men Luka Modric and Dejan Lovren are also set for an evening off – potentially sparking outrage among the Argentina camp, according to The Mirror.
Jorge Sampaoli’s side face an early exit from the competition if Iceland win, with all three teams trailing Croatia still holding a chance of progressing.
