Wilshere update
Talks over a new contract for Jack Wilshere are ongoing, according to Sky Sports.
The midfielder’s deal ends on July 1 and he has been unable to agree on an extension.
Sky Sports say Wilshere’s situation is “complicated by a loyalty payment the midfielder is due”.
Martins interest
Sky Sports claim Arsenal are one of a number of clubs interested in Portugal international Gelson Martins.
The winger could be available on a free transfer as he is one of four players who has moved to terminate their Sporting Lisbon contract, citing “just cause”.
Last season, the 23-year-old has scored 13 goals and provided 13 assists.
Torreira agreed
Arsenal are closing in on a deal for Sampdoria midfielder Lucas Torreira.
Gunners officials were in Milan on Tuesday to discuss personal terms with the midfielder’s representatives having reached an agreement with Sampdoria.
Multiple reports suggest a £26.4m fee has been agreed for the Uruguayan to become Arsenal’s third signing under new manager Unai Emery.
Stephan Lichtsteiner has already joined on a free while Sokratis Papastathopoulos has also signed but an announcement of his arrival has been delayed until next month.
Leno deal close
Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno is close to joining Arsenal, according to claims in Germany.
German outlet SportBild claim an announcement of the deal is close after the Gunners moved swiftly for the shot-stopper.
The 26-year-old missed out on a World Cup place with Germany.
Last season he kept 12 clean sheets in all competitions for Leverkusen.
Fulham eye Chambers
Calum Chambers is a transfer target for Fulham.
The newly promoted Premier League side are keen to make additions to their side and appear to have earmarked the 23-year-old defender.
Chambers made 24 appearances for Arsenal last season.
