Next Chelsea manager: Maurizio Sarri deal 'within days' - FOUR Napoli stars could follow
CHELSEA are 'days away' from appointing Maurizio Sarri, who may look to bring FOUR Napoli stars to west London this summer.
'Maurizio Sarri could fit the bill for Chelsea' says Craig Burley
The Italian has been the front-runner for the Stamford Bridge role for a number of months now, with Antonio Conte's future up in the air since the turn of the year.
But it appears Sarri will finally his replace his fellow countryman in the coming days.
According to CalcioMercato journalist Matteo Pedrosi, the Napoli chief is set to be appointed this week.
And Sarri could bring as many as four stars from the San Paolo Stadium with him to the Premier League this summer.
Pedrosi claims Gonzalo Higuain, Elseid Hysaj, Piotr Zielinski and Kalidou Koulibaly are all targets for the 59-year-old upon his arrival in England.
Inter Milan's technical collaborator Giovanni Martusciello will also be brought in as a member of Chelsea's backroom staff.
Chelsea have been unwilling to sack Conte in recent weeks due to the former Juventus boss' £9m severance demands.
Real Madrid are reportedly keen on hiring the 48-year-old, which would see Roman Abramovich spared of parting ways with the astronomical amount.
Luis Enrique and Laurent Blanc were other names in the frame for the Chelsea job recently.
The pair have both been out of work since leaving Barcelona and PSG respectively.
