Premier League table based on betting data – Arsenal among biggest underachievers
PREMIER LEAGUE fans have won and lost millions betting on their clubs over the years, but which teams would have won and lost their supporters most in 2017/18?
Betting is a huge part of many football fans’ lives, with the thrill of supporting their team heightened when there’s money at stake.
Sports betting site ComeOn! have carried out a study to reveal which teams would have earned punters the biggest returns over the 2017/18 campaign – and which sides would have left gamblers out of pocket.
Based on a £10 bet to win each match throughout the season, a number of smaller teams have defied the odds and posted very healthy profits.
However, Arsenal have endured a disappointing campaign and are way down the table with a total balance of -£50.50 after losing seemingly easy fixtures against the likes of Swansea and Stoke.
