Man Utd transfer news: Mourinho may offer Pogba in stunning Real Madrid swap deal - expert
MANCHESTER UNITED transfer target Gareth Bale could be heading to Old Trafford in a stunning swap deal involving Paul Pogba, expert Ian McGarry claims.
ESPN pundit Craig Burley says Pogba could leave Man United
Real Madrid star Bale is a long-term target for United, with Jose Mourinho trying to sign the Wales international last summer.
The winger put the Red Devils on alert after Real’s Champions League final victory against Liverpool, with Bale claiming he may quit the Bernabeu in search of regular game time elsewhere.
Pogba, meanwhile, struggled to impress under Mourinho this season, with the Special One axing the midfielder from his starting line-up.
The pair had numerous spats this season, which has led to rumours the France international could be sold this summer.
I’m not sure that Jose Mourinho would be that sad to see Pogba go
And transfer expert McGarry says Pogba could possibly head to Real in a sensational swap deal involving Bale.
“Would Madrid maybe consider £100m for Pogba, £100m for Bale? Would Manchester United consider it?” McGarry told The Transfer Window podcast.
“Pogba seems to be a very troubled character in the last few weeks, who I don’t think has got over his spat with Mourinho over where he should play.

“I’m not sure that Real are that interested in Pogba but if a coach came in to replace [Zinedine] Zidane and felt he could make it work with Pogba, maybe he could be someone who could be part of a deal that brought Bale to Old Trafford.
“I’m not sure that Jose Mourinho would be that sad to see Pogba go if he was getting Bale in his place.”
