Zinedine Zidane: Former Real Madrid manager ruled out for France post
ZINEDINE ZIDANE is unlikely to manage France before 2020 as Didier Deschamps will stay in charge until at least then.
That is the claim of French Football Federation (FFF) boss Noel Le Graet.
Zidane stunned Real Madrid on Thursday when he announced his resignation, just days after leading Los Blancos to their third successive Champions League triumph following a 3-1 win over Liverpool.
The 43-year-old has been tipped to become Qatar’s next manager and he could reportedly earn £50million a year if he takes up the position.
Although Zidane has been coveted by France in the past, Le Graet has dismissed suggestions the 1998 World Cup winner will manage Les Bleus in the next two years.
You were surprised, me too, but don't create a debate 'Didier-Zizou', it's not serious
“Zidane can sign in Juventus tomorrow, I don't know anything," Le Graet said.
"You were surprised, me too, but don't create a debate 'Didier-Zizou', it's not serious.
"We start the World Cup with Didier. He signed a contract at least until 2020.
Ramon Calderon: Zidane wasn't happy in his position as coach
“And fortunately! Imagine if I didn't do that... It's better to be totally secure, the problem is not there now.
"There will not be any talks with him [Zidane] in the coming year.
“If I see him, we can talk of course, but Deschamps is here until 2020 or even beyond."
