Gareth Bale: Real Madrid star to make Man Utd wait on transfer - EXCLUSIVE
GARETH BALE is prepared to keep Manchester United waiting for a decision on his future until he sees who is going to replace Zinedine Zidane in the hot-seat at Real Madrid.
Bale hinted after scoring two goals in the Champions League final against Liverpool that he wanted to quit the club to play regular first-team football.
That alerted United boss Jose Mourinho, who has been keen on luring him to Old Trafford, that a deal might be possible for the player this summer.
Real are keen to tie him down to a new long-term deal but Bale won’t be rushed and will only commit when he receives reassurances that he won’t be sidelined by Real’s incoming boss.
Meanwhile, United hero Gary Neville believes his former club must sign the Welshman because he’s capable of performing in big games.
Bale came off the bench in the Champions League final to score twice and steer Real Madrid to victory over Liverpool.
“I’ve got a lot of admiration for him as a player," Neville told BBC Radio Manchester.
“I’d like to see Messi play for United or Ronaldo or Neymar or all these players, but the reality is they’ve got to want to come to the club.

“That’s the first question that needs to be asked.
“If he wants to come to United then absolutely, yes, because he’s a fantastic player and he is a game changer.
“For me every top club is looking for that player who is the difference, who can turn the big games.”
