MANCHESTER UNITED heroes Rio Ferdinand and Paul Scholes disagreed over a key incident in the FA Cup final against Chelsea today.
Man Utd news: Ferdinand and Scholes disagreed over a Marcus Rashford missed chance
Manchester United were hunting their 13th FA Cup trophy to go level with Arsenal as the most successful team in the competition.
Chelsea struck first through an Eden Hazard penalty but United could so easily have equalised just before half time.
Some good build-up play from Alexis Sanchez and Paul Pogba led to Marcus Rashford getting a chance inside the box.
The England forward swung his left foot at it but failed to get a good connection.
That’s poor technique. He’s eight yards out. He needs a better connection and it’s a goal
Ferdinand says it was unfortunate for the 20-year-old.
“Unlucky there, it just didn’t fall for Rashford there,” he said of the Manchester United star BT Sport.
“I just think he’s been starved today.”
But Scholes was quick to step in and disagree with his former team-mate.
