Arsenal news: Jamie Redknapp makes damning statement about Manchester United
ARSENAL’s starting XI against Manchester United this afternoon will make no difference to the result at Old Trafford.
Arsene Wenger: Arsenal is the love of my life
That is the opinion of Sky Sports pundit and former Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has rung the changes ahead of his final visit to Old Trafford with the club.
He has handed a debut to 20-year-old defender Konstantinos Mavropanos, who joined from PAS Giannina in January.
The only two players to remain in the side from the 1-1 Europa League semi-final draw with Atletico Madrid on Thursday are Hector Bellerin and Granit Xhaka.

Arsene Wenger named a depleted side against Manchester United
At the moment the way Arsenal are playing away from home, I don’t think it will make a great deal of difference
Redknapp understands Wenger is prioritising the second leg ahead of the clash with Manchester United, which is in four days time.
But he admits even if the French boss played his strongest side, Arsenal still would have lost.
“It wouldn’t surprise me (if Wenger fielded a weakened team),” Redknapp said before hearing the team news.
“I have to be honest I don’t like to see it.
Redknapp says Arsenal will lose whatever team they field against Man Utd
“But at the moment the way Arsenal are playing away from home, I don’t think it will make a great deal of difference.
“They’ve not picked up one point away in 2018; not good enough.
“They could still come here with their best XI, get turned over, and then go into the game on Thursday of that magnitude with no confidence whatsoever.
“I think Arsene Wenger, if he does play a weakened team, is probably thinking ‘I’m just giving my players the most chance to get some rest’ for what is their cup final on Thursday.”
