Transfer news: Man Utd and Chelsea plans revealed by Sky Sports pundit Guillem Balague
MANCHESTER UNITED and Chelsea can still expect Real Madrid to come calling when the summer transfer window rolls around.
David De Gea's ten best saves for Manchester United
At least that’s what Sky Sports pundit Guillem Balague has claimed, with David De Gea and Thibaut Courtois said to be on the La Liga giants’ wish list.
Manchester United stopper De Gea went close to joining Real in the summer of 2015 but stayed at Old Trafford when a fax machine issue put paid to a deadline day move.
Courtois, meanwhile, has long been touted as a target as Real look to replace current No 1 Keylor Navas and he’s spoken of his keenness to return to Spain.
Balague reckons De Gea and Courtois remain on Real’s radar as they plan a summer spending spree that will see wholesale changes made to Zinedine Zidane’s squad.
"They are in for De Gea, Courtois and Allison - but they weren’t impressed with him following the first Champions League game with Roma [vs Barcelona]," Balague told Sky Sports.
Balague made a promising revelation as far as United fans are concerned regarding De Gea staying at Old Trafford though.
"Courtois is waiting for Real Madrid but also has PSG interested, and I think the contract Manchester United will put on the table for De Gea will convince him to stay," he added.
United boss Jose Mourinho made clear his desire to keep hold of De Gea in February, suggesting a deal would be illogical.

"Do you think a club that is trying to attract the best players is the club that is open to sell the best players? It makes no sense," he said.
"If you want to go to that level, we have to attract the best players like we did with Alexis [Sanchez], [Nemanja] Matic, [Paul] Pogba and so on, and don't let our best players go."
De Gea will be hoping to keep his 17th clean sheet of the season when United play host to West Brom on Sunday.
Courtois, meanwhile, will be eager for Chelsea to get back to winning ways when they take on Southampton a day earlier.
