CRISTIANO RONALDO extended his lead in the Champions League top scorers' chart with his penalty against Juventus last night – but can anyone catch the Real Madrid star this season?
Cristiano Ronaldo has extended his lead at the top of the Champions League goalscorers' chart
Ronaldo took his tally to 15 goals in the Champions League this season with a last-gasp penalty to knock Juventus out and send Real Madrid into the semi-finals.
Los Blancos were reeling with Juve leading 3-0 at the Bernabeu before Michael Oliver awarded a spot-kick in added time after Medhi Benatia fouled Lucas Vazquez.
Ronaldo stepped up to slam the penalty past Wojciech Szczesny and make the score 4-3 on aggregate, meaning the Portuguese star now has a chance to build on his goal tally in the next round.
The Real Madrid star’s closest rivals are Liverpool frontmen Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah, but will they be able to catch him before the end of the tournament?
