Louis van Gaal makes UEFA demand over Man City disallowed goal against Liverpool
LOUIS VAN GAAL has bemoaned the lack of video technology in the Champions League that cost Manchester City a crucial second goal against Liverpool on Tuesday.
Parlour on Man City goal: Last night proved we need VAR
VAR is not used in the Champions League.
And it meant officials wrongly ruled out a goal from Leroy Sane when an offside decision was incorrectly called.
The Premier League has used VAR since the start of this season and, bar a handful of controversies, the technology has proved a relative success.
FIFA will also use VAR at the World Cup.
And Van Gaal has called on UEFA to get their act together on the use of technology.
"I called something about video arbiters twenty years ago," former Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal old Dutch broadcasters Ziggo Sports.

The game just goes too fast
“I think that should definitely be allowed in the Champions League.
“Things cannot be seen anymore, the game just goes too fast.”
City needed to overturn a 3-0 first-leg deficit last night and were a goal up when Sane bundled home, only for the offside flag to go up.
But replays showed it was Reds player James Milner who had played the ball forward to Sane, rather than one of the City star’s team-mates.

Pep Guardiola was sent off for his reaction to the disallowed goal and was forced to watch the rest of the match in the stands.
Liverpool eventually ran out 2-1 victors on the night, with Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino netting in the second half.
They will discover their Champions League last-four opponents on Friday.
