Manchester City crashed out of the competition after a 2-1 defeat in the second leg at the Etihad.
After taking the lead through a second minute goal by Gabriel Jesus, Liverpool recovered before winning 2-1 thanks to goals from Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino.
Guardiola lost his temper after remonstrating with the fourth official when he saw his side have a Leroy Sane goal disallowed for offside.
And the Spaniard thinks things could have been different.
Although the 5-1 aggregate score highlighted the difference between the two sides, Guardiola is adamant that there were key turning points such as Salah’s goal in the first leg that killed off City’s chances.
