Paul Pogba was offered to Manchester City, says Pep Guardiola
City can wrap up the Premier League title tomorrow against arch-rivals United and Guardiola has stoked the fire ahead of the derby.
The Spaniard lost out to rivals United in the chase for Alexis Sanchez during the January transfer window.
But Guardiola has sensationally claimed City were sensationally offered the opportunity to take both Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan to the Etihad.
Mino Raiola offered both players to City and Guardiola has come out with the revelation in response to Raiola’s scathing attack on him in which he labelled the former Barcelona boss “a coward, a dog”.
However, the 47-year-old went on to say he turned down the opportunity to take Pogba as he would have cost too much.
“Finally, the people discover my secrets, I’m a bad guy, I’m a coward,” said Guardiola sarcastically.
“I don’t understand why I am such a bad guy. But being this guy, two months ago he offered me Mkhitaryan and Pogba to play with us. Why?

Pep Guardiola said he was offered the chance to sign both Pogba and Mkhitaryan
“Why did he offer them? He was interested in Mkhitaryan and Pogba playing with us.
“Pogba is an incredible player. A top, top player.
“I said no. We don’t have the money enough to buy Pogba because he is so expensive.”
The France international got wind of the story from Guardiola was clearly shocked by the City bosses quotes.
Paul Pogba responded on Twitter with a picture of him in training holding his hand to his ear, accompanied with the caption: “Say what?”
