Liverpool news: Jurgen Klopp sent Man City warning after Trent Alexander-Arnold mistake
LIVERPOOL boss Jurgen Klopp must sit down and warn Trent Alexander-Arnold he must improve going into next week’s Champions League quarter-final against Manchester City.
Jurgen Klopp has now got to sit the right-back down and say to him ‘against a player like Leroy Sane, he’s going to make those runs'
Jamie Redknapp on Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold
Alexander-Arnold played a role in Palace’s goal, with a ball over the top beating the right-back before goalkeeper Loris Karius fouled Wilfried Zaha and gave away a penalty.
Redknapp says Alexander-Arnold must be prepared for the Champions League first-leg clash against Manchester City on Wednesday because City’s Leroy Sane will look to take advantage of his lapses.
“Definitely a penalty, a poor decision from the goalkeeper. A really good penalty, you don’t save that one,” Redknapp said.
“But taking it further to the Champions League game, it’s almost a case of Jurgen Klopp has now got to sit the right-back down and say to him ‘against a player like Leroy Sane, he’s going to make those runs, you’ve got to be aware’.

Jamie Redknapp was critical of Trent Alexander-Arnold's performance against Crystal Palace
“It didn’t just happen once for that one, it was a couple of times just before hand.
“I thought at times he was a little bit sloppy, bad positional play.
“He needs to address that because they get a player like Leroy Sane, very similar to Zaha, he’s got that inside to out run, and he’s going to cause you problems.”
