According to Don Balon, Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has promised midfielder Rakitic ‘all the gold in the world’.
And the Spanish publication claim the Croatia international has asked Barcelona chiefs to give him a month to decide his future.
Rakitic has been a mainstay in Barcelona’s midfield since joining from La Liga rivals Sevilla in 2014 but is not considered one of the club’s top stars.
The 30-year-old is under contract at the Nou Camp until the summer of 2021.
He has chipped in with four goals and four assists this term and looks set to win his third La Liga title.

According to Diario Gol, Barcelona are aware that they cannot match United’s financial power.
And it is claimed that Andres Iniesta and Philippe Coutinho will impact Rakitic’s decision.
The Croatian wants to find out whether Iniesta is sticking around and where head coach Ernesto Valverde will use Coutinho next term.
Rakitic will reportedly be happy to pursue a move to Old Trafford if he finds his role in the team reduced.

Before putting pen to paper on a new contract last year, he said: “My future is still only related to, and exclusively, Barcelona.
“I want to keep playing here, winning trophies, this is my club.
“It's been a while that the club have been preparing a new contract for me, my future at Barcelona is very secure.”
