Mohamed Salah: Paul Scholes makes huge Champions League claim over Liverpool star
MOHAMED SALAH can lead Liverpool to victory in their Champions League quarter-final clash with Premier League rivals Manchester City.
Mohamed Salah: I enjoy playing for Liverpool
That is the opinion of BT Sport pundit and former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes.
Salah scored four in Liverpool’s 5-0 rout of Watford in the Premier League this evening.
That took his tally in all competitions for the Reds to 36 since his summer move from Roma.
Liverpool were drawn against Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-final draw yesterday.
Mohamed Salah has scored 36 goals in all competitions for Liverpool
If he can stay in that form they will have a great chance of going through
City are favourites for the tie and are at home second but Liverpool can take confidence from being the only side so far this season to beat Pep Guardiola’s side in the Premier League.
Scholes says an in-form Salah will be too good even for high-flying City.
“He’s had a good season and I think Liverpool have had a good season,” Scholes said while working as a pundit on BT Sport.
Mohamed Salah can lead Liverpool to Champions League victory over Man City, says Scholes
“They’ve got a big Champions League game coming up obviously.
“If he can stay in that form they will have a great chance of going through.”
Salah has scored six goals in the Champions League this season, level with fellow Liverpool star Sadio Mane.
