Jamie Carragher TROLLED by BBC’s Gary Lineker after Sky Sports suspend pundit over spit
GARY LINEKER has mocked Jamie Carragher after the Sky Sports presenter was involved in a spitting storm.
Jamie Carragher has been suspended by Sky over the spitting incident
Carragher has been dropped from his Monday Night Football gig tonight after footage emerged of the ex-Liverpool star spitting at a fan.
Carragher is seen spitting at a car while a Manchester United fan goads him following Liverpool’s 2-1 defeat on Saturday.
The incident has already seen him ditched from his post as a pundit on Danish TV.
And BBC presenter Lineker has joked about the former defender after he was omitted from Sky’s MNF coverage for tonight’s Stoke vs Manchester City clash.
“Seems @Carra23 can’t do it on a cold, damp Monday night at Stoke,” Lineker wrote on Twitter.

He then posted: “On a serious note, we all make mistakes, @Carra23 made a big one. He’s apologised and is clearly contrite. Sure he’ll be back soon and rightly so.”
Carragher was chastised on Sky News earlier on Monday in a 13-minute interview regarding the spitting incident.
He said: “It was a moment of madness, it’s difficult for me to explain.
“It’s just that moment of madness for four or five seconds. No matter the circumstances, you can’t ever behave like that.”

Sky News tweeted: "Sky says it has suspended Jamie Carragher from his duties as a football analyst after he was filmed spitting at a family in their car following Liverpool's defeat to Manchester United on Saturday and says his actions were "well below the standards we expect of our people."
