Liverpool backed to sign AC Milan ace Gianluigi Donnarumma as goalkeeper for next 10 years
LIVERPOOL should look to sign AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma instead of Roma and Brazil No 1 Alisson.
Moreno reckons Liverpool should look to sign AC Milan goalkeeper Donnarumma
Those are the thoughts of former Venezuela international turned ESPN pundit Alejandro Moreno.
Liverpool’s goalkeepers have been heavily criticised for their performances this season.
Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius have been rotated in different competitions, with the latter preferred in the last three Premier League games.
Alisson was linked with a move to Liverpool in the January transfer window and could be a target come the summer.
I think, if I’m Liverpool, I’m going after Donnarumma. I think he could be their goalkeeper for a whole decade
But Moreno believes Donnarumma would be a better bet for Jurgen Klopp, as the 18-year-old could be the club’s keeper for the next 10 years.
“No, he does not (go to Liverpool),” Moreno said on ESPN FC of Alisson.
“I think, if I’m Liverpool, I’m going after Donnarumma.
“I think he could be their goalkeeper for a whole decade.
Angry Italy fans throw fake money at United target Donnarumma
Liverpool will not be signing Alisson from Roma, claims Moreno
“So he may leave, but it won’t be Liverpool.”
Donnarumma made his AC Milan debut at the age of 16 and already has 90 Serie A appearances behind him.
He has four caps for Italy and is set to benefit from the retirement of legendary stopper Gianluigi Buffon.
