LEEDS UNITED have submitted an £8million bid for Preston North End striker Jordan Hugill, it has been claimed.

A target man is on Leeds’ transfer wish list but their opening offer falls short of Preston’s £10m valuation, according to the Daily Mirror.
Bristol City and Reading are also interested in Hugill but Crystal Palace have emerged on the scene.
The Sun claim the Premier League side have agreed a fee to sign Hugill.
But Preston have issued a statement denying that a deal is in place.
It read: “Despite wholly inaccurate reports in a national newspaper this morning, we have not agreed any transfer fee with any club for Jordan Hugill.
“Jordan remains a contracted player to Preston North End Football Club.”

It would be a surprise if Leeds sealed a deal for Hugill after managing director Angus Kinnear previously ruled out spending big for his signature.
The club have adopted a sustainable approach to the transfer market since Andrea Radrizzani completed his takeover last May but Kinnear has admitted they are willing to make “calculated gambles”.
He added: “I think if we could identify that player [to fire Leeds to the Premier League] and we had to stretch financially to make it work, we’d make it work.”

Hugill has scored 10 goals in 29 appearances for Preston this season.
It was thought that Preston’s signing of Louis Moult from Motherwell last month would see Hugill leave.
But manager Alex Neil said: “Jordan Hugill is not leaving the club and we're not interested in selling him at the moment.
“He's performed very well for us and we've brought Louis in to bring competition to that spot.”
Meanwhile, Leeds have been installed as the favourites by Ladbrokes to sign Celtic striker Moussa Dembele.
