Thomas Lemar: Monaco manager gives Arsenal and Liverpool huge hope over January deal
MONACO boss Leonardo Jardim admits it is possible Thomas Lemar could leave the club this month.
Jardim: Sometimes you can't say no in the transfer window
Monaco winger Lemar has been linked with a January switch to Premier League giants Arsenal and Liverpool.
Liverpool are looking for a replacement for Philippe Coutinho, who joined Barcelona earlier this month for £142million.
Arsenal are bracing themselves for the inevitable departure of Alexis Sanchez and rate Lemar highly.
In fact the Gunners had a £90million bid accepted for him on transfer deadline day last August, with Sanchez set to join Manchester City, but Lemar rejected the move with hours remaining.

You know how crazy it is. Even a club like Monaco can’t say no sometimes
Jardim has up to this point maintained Lemar will not be sold in this window.
However, he now admits most clubs are powerless to stopping a player leave, just like Liverpool showed with the sale of Coutinho.
“The transfer window is now more open than ever,” Jardim said.
“You know how crazy it is. Even a club like Monaco can’t say no sometimes.

“It happened with Liverpool. That’s how it is now. The amounts are really high.
“Everything can change in no time at all. Something you say today will be false tomorrow.
“If you look at the last two transfer windows, summer and winter, the prices are a lot higher.”
