Barcelona news: Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Andres Iniesta oppose mega-money transfer deal
BARCELONA stars Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Andres Iniesta are reportedly against the idea of the La Liga giants snapping up Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid.
Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez do not want Barcelona to shell out £89m-plus on Antoine Griezmann
Griezmann looks set to be one of the hottest properties in world football once again this summer with a host of clubs keen on him.
Manchester United are expected to reignite their interest in the Frenchman, while Manchester City have the funds to make a move too.
Griezmann could yet stay in Spain if he leaves Atletico though, with Barcelona and Real Madrid said to be keen on him.
The latest reports suggest a trio of Barcelona’s big-names are opposed to Josep Maria Bartomeu splashing the cash on Griezmann.
Don Balon say Messi, Suarez and Iniesta feel Barca do not need to spend another £89m-plus (€100m) on another attacker.
And they would prefer to see Ernesto Valverde handed the funds to strengthen other areas of his squad.
Messi, Suarez and Iniesta’s stance has apparently been communicated to high level officials at the Nou Camp.

And it comes off the back of Barcelona completing the two biggest deals in their history within the past six months.
Neymar’s sale to Paris Saint-Germain generated a mega £200m that the club subsequently spent on Ousmane Dembele and Philippe Coutinho.
Barcelona have also bought Paulinho, Gerard Deulofeu, Nelson Semedo, Marlon and Yerry Mina in the last year.
