Leeds fans react to transfer announcement: ‘What a signing’, ‘splash the cash’, 'decent'
LEEDS UNITED have announced the signing of left-back Laurens De Bock from Club Brugge - and the deal has gone down well with fans.
Laurens De Bock displays incredible talent on the pitch
De Bock, 25, has put pen to paper on a four-and-a-half-year contract with the Elland Road club.
He becomes Leeds’ third signing of the January transfer window after Japanese midfielder Yosuke Ideguchi and Finnish defender Aapo Halme.
De Bock has been handed the number 12 shirt.
He could make his debut on Saturday when Leeds travel to Ipswich Town (3pm).
One fan said: “Welcome to the best football team in England.”

Another said: “Never heard of him before last week but that’s no issue as long as he’s an improvement for us, law of averages we’re due a good signing.”
A third commented: “What a signing.”
While another added: “For every 10 players Orta signs you'll get 1 good one.”
Leeds have scoured continental Europe since the arrivals of owner Andrea Radrizzani and director of football Victor Orta.
But some fans want to see new signings who have Championship experience.
And one supporter joked: “Are we trying to sign a player from every different country possible?
“Gonna be a full starting line up of foreigners before long.”
De Bock has claimed tackling is his best asset, and one fan wrote on Twitter: “We don't need to see goals and assists, show footage of him snapping people in 2!!!”
Leeds weren’t expected to be busy this month but fans are now demanding the arrival of a new striker.
One supporter commented: “Well done @LUFC for bringing in what looks like a decent LB. Now to really splash the cash and bring in a true front man. Who we sign before the TF window shuts will show our intentions for this season.”
