Double delight for Dorman
Andy Dorman had double cause to celebrate as he was named the SPL’s player of the month and St Mirren handed him a contract extension.
The midfielder picked up the player’s award thanks to his goalscoring exploits, which saw him hit the net four times, for the Buddies.
The 26-year-old, who was out of contract in the summer, revealed the Saints had also taken up the option in his deal to re-sign him for a further 12 months.
A delighted Dorman said: “It is good to have my future sorted out.
“I can look forward to the rest of the season and next season with St Mirren.
“I want to play at the highest level possible and hopefully St Mirren can also press on and move up the league.
“I wouldn’t want to rule anything out. I just want to play at the highest level possible.
“Whether that be in Scotland, America, England or wherever.”
