VIRGIL VAN DIJK must get used to the “frantic” football played by Jurgen Klopp on his arrival at Liverpool.

That is according to Sky Sports pundit and former England centre-back Matthew Upson.
Van Dijk has agreed to join Liverpool from Southampton for a world-record fee for a defender of £75million.
The transfer will go through when the transfer window opens on Monday.
Upson says the Dutchman will play a big part in solidifying Liverpool’s defence, which has received plenty of criticism so far this season.

And he reckons Van Dijk will improve under Jurgen Klopp if he can adapt to his style of football.
“I think he’s a big part of the jigsaw,” Upson said.
“What do you get? You get a very imposing figure, physically he’s very dominant, he wins most of his aerial battles.
“But there’s a lot more to him, I think he’s comfortable on the ball and composed, I’ve never seen him get too flustered.

“He brings the ball out of the back four very well, he steps into that space in front, he’s got a nice range of passing.
“I think he will find it interesting fitting into Klopp’s style of play, it’s a little bit more frantic and high energy.
“I think, you know, it may improve him in that way.”
