Liverpool news: Jurgen Klopp reveals why Roberto Firmino is annoying
LIVERPOOL boss Jurgen Klopp has heaped praise on Roberto Firmino for being an “annoying” player for opposing teams to face.
Roberto Firmino is annoying player for defenders to face, says Jurgen Klopp
Roberto Firmino has become Liverpool’s first-choice striker since Jurgen Klopp took charge at Anfield, despite not being a prolific goalscorer.
The 26-year-old bagged a rare double in the 5-1 win against Brighton at the weekend - taking his Premier League tally for the season to five.
However, Klopp admitted after the game he does not judge Firmino’s performances by how many goals he gets.
And he instead praised the former Hoffenheim man for being an “annoying” player for opposing defenders to face.

“Roberto scored twice, but what he did around these goals is what excites me the most, to be honest,” Klopp said.
“In all the counter-attacks, pretty much, he won the ball.
“By being here, by being a little annoying, a little foot, a little toe - that for us is important.
“With all the rest around him, you need to get used to it.
“They are all different and all good. For me, I really like these players. That's why they are here.”
And Klopp insisted he will not let his players gets carried away with results like the 5-1 away win at Brighton, claiming it was just a routine day at the office.
“I'm happy with the performance, of course,” he added.
“But to be honest, I don't think it was world class or anything like this. It was doing the job.”
