Jonathan Kodjia's injury at the start of the campaign and Scott Hogan's struggles presented Davis with an opportunity for regular minutes, and he has impressed up top for Villa.
The former Biggleswade Town man has two goals and two assists to his name this term, and Bruce thinks Davis can reach the top of the game.
The Villa boss said: “He’s got a big future the kid, we think.
“He’s got to improve a little bit on his finishing and he’s still got a long way to go.”
Villa skipper John Terry has also spoken about Davis in glowing terms.
The former Chelsea defender said: “He’s a nightmare to play against in training. He really is.”
