That's according to sources close to United boss Jose Mourinho, was is desperate to get Pogba back in his side.
The French midfielder has not played since limping off with a hamstring injury in the Champions League against Basel on September 12.
Publicly United have stayed tight-lipped about the extent of the problem other than last month when boss Jose Mourinho admitted it was ‘long-term’.
In fact, Mourinho was asked after the midweek win in Benfica on when Pogba would be back.
He said in a coy reply: “I don’t know when he plays again.”

However, sources close to Mourinho say the Manchester United manager is optimistic Pogba, 24, could be back in action inside eight weeks.
That would mean the £89million ex-Juventus ace resuming full training next month – and being in first-team contention going into the club’s hectic festive schedule.
United have four games in 11 days before Christmas, including a massive derby clash against title rivals Man City on December 10.
They then face another four league games between Boxing Day and the end of the New Year holiday period.
