Real Madrid vs Tottenham: Harry Winks was praised by Chelsea legend Frank Lampard
Winks started in midfield for Tottenham in the 1-1 draw, with Mousa Dembele and Victor Wanyama both missing through injury.
The 21-year-old made his England debut last week, playing the entire 90 minutes in the World Cup qualifier against Lithuania.
Chelsea legend Frank Lampard is excited by the potential he sees in Winks.
“Defensively very good and great for us, an English midfield player who wants the ball in every area,” he said on BT Sport.

“He’s never scared to show and take the ball and turn and play forward. It’s great to see.”
Former Tottenham midfielder and manager Glenn Hoddle was also impressed by Winks.
He says he did particularly well in the first-half against Real Madrid despite a lack of help from those around him.
“He’s done very well,” Hoddle said.

“He’s done very well on the ball, he’s got back in defence.
“He’s playing in the pivot position, there’s a lot of work in there.
“Sometimes I don’t think (Christian) Eriksen and (Moussa) Sissoko have really tucked in and helped him.
"He’s done excellent.”
